Information for Residents of Kerala

•Enrolment of Residents in Kerala is carried out by the Government of Kerala through agencies such as Akshaya, Keltron etc and the Office of the Registrar General of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India which is responsible for preparation of National Population Register (NPR). Residents enrolling under this exercise will receive Aadhaar and need not enrol separately for Aadhaar.

•If already enrolled for Aadhaar, there is no need to provide biometrics (photo, finger print and iris) while enrolling under NPR. However, Aadhaar enrolment details or Aadhaar number will have to be provided while enrolling under NPR. 

•Residents who have enrolled earlier and whose enrolment status is indicated as rejected or not available, need to provide biometrics while enrolling under NPR.

Residents are requested to keep Aadhaar / NPR acknowledgement slip provided at the time of enrolment safely.
